ELM The program is focused on original ELM327 chips https://www.elmelectronics.com. Not all Chinese adapters support the full functionality of the original ELM327. Therefore, if OpenDiag does not connect to the ECU, there is no need to “kick” it with other programs that connect. They communicate with the ECU using the OBD-II standard. OpenDiag communicates via the ECU protocol and requires the full functionality of the original ELM327. The OBD-II standard is supported by the program in its simplest form, select the OBD-II unit and connect!
USB USB adapters require USB-Host support on your smartphone or tablet.
Supported USB adapter chips (tested): FTDI (FT232RL), WCH (CH340), Prolific (PL2303), Silicon Labs (CP2102, speed override required https://chiptuner.ru/content/pub_20/).

* The program does not include diesel units.
* The program contains blocks with paid content. When connecting to such a block, the program tells you what is needed to activate the block, or how to disable the demo mode of the block.
* Activating the unit does not solve problems with connecting to the ECU!
* Owners of activated blocks on one device for two more devices can activate these blocks for free.
